Even in his final days, battling cancer, his last words to me were simple but powerful: "Get into that school." His belief in me carried me through my training, and when I finally earned my wings, I honored him in the most fitting way I could — by spreading his ashes from a plane I piloted over the Atlantic Ocean.

That experience changed me. It was peaceful, emotional, and unforgettable — and it planted the seed for Blue Sky Farewells. I wanted to offer that same kind of tribute to others: a farewell that rises above, one that brings comfort, connection, and a memory to hold onto.
